Author Kawand Crawford was born in Brooklyn, New York. Unfortunately, by the age of 21, he became a quadriplegic after a tragic accident! After years of struggling with physical and emotional pain, he eventually found his purpose in life.

He would enroll in Medgar Evers College, where, with the assistance of notetakers and voice recognition software, go on to receive an associate in business administration in 1999. Although in a wheelchair and living life with the assistance of CNAs, he continued his education and graduated with multiple Certificates and Awards in 2002 with a bachelor’s in accounting.

After graduation, Author Kawand Crawford will spend the next 20 years, writing and publishing novels for himself as well as other inspiring writers. With over two dozen novels published on Amazon and in circulation around the world, it does not stop reaching for the stars!

He is currently taking on a new venture. Despite his paralysis, he is committed to adapting novels into screenplays. Author Kawand Crawford has several Film projects in different stages of production. “Shadows of Atlanta” and “Envy Herr” are projected to be released in 2025.
